There’s a wide variety of fall drinks to make, but we’re sharing ones rich in antioxidants and natural nutrients to help strengthen your immune system throughout chilly autumn days.

Hot Cacao

Cacao has a bitter and rich chocolate taste, similar to dark chocolate but less refined or processed. It’s packed with nutrients, including the minerals magnesium, copper, iron, manganese, potassium, and phosphorus.

Magnesium, in particular, is essential for optimal immune function and regulating inflammation. However, the magnesium in cacao isn’t just beneficial for fighting off coughs and colds. It also improves blood flow and even enhances mental clarity, which are all vital during darker autumn days.

How to make hot cacao

Whisk 1–2 teaspoons of raw cacao powder with a cup of warm oat or almond milk. Add a touch of honey and a few mini marshmallows for sweetness and warmth. You can also melt and whisk Organic Cacao Butter Buttons into the drink for a rich, creamy texture.

Tip: For an extra immune boost, stir in a sprinkle of reishi mushroom powder or chaga mushroom extract, both known for their adaptogenic and immune-supportive properties.

Turmeric Latte

Often called “golden milk,” a turmeric latte is a soothing, spicy drink that’s brimming with health benefits.  The warming spices and golden hue of this drink make it the ultimate cosy companion on chilly evenings.

Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful compound known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Antioxidants stabilise harmful molecules called free radicals to protect the structure of cells and tissues. This can significantly improve immunity and help you recover more quickly if you fall ill.

How to make a turmeric latte:

In a small saucepan, heat your milk of choice and whisk in ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder, a pinch of black pepper (to help your body absorb curcumin), and a little ginger and cinnamon. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup.

Easy turmeric tea: You can also brew one of our turmeric tea bags for a quick and warming pick-me-up.

When it comes to immune-supportive drinks, ginger and lemon tea is a timeless favourite. Ginger contains gingerol, a compound known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, while lemon adds a boost of vitamin C, which is an important vitamin for immune function.

If you’re already under the weather, the combination is perfect for soothing sore throats, calming digestion, and helping you feel refreshed and revitalised.

How to make ginger and lemon tea:

For a quick soothing drink, use a ginger and lemon tea bag, let it brew, then sip the hot tea while working, reading, or sitting by a rainy window - the choice is yours! You can also brew fresh tea by slicing a few pieces of ginger and steeping them in hot water for 5–10 minutes. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and a drizzle of honey.

Extra tip: Add a dash of cayenne pepper if you feel a cold coming on to help clear congestion and give your immune system an extra kick.

Chaga Mushroom Coffee

If you’re looking for autumn coffee drinks to boost your immune system, chaga mushroom is a great option. It’s rich in immune-supporting beta-glucans, which help your body stay balanced and resilient against everyday stressors.

Chaga also contains a powerful blend of polysaccharides and polyphenols that work to protect your cells from oxidative damage, supporting long-term vitality and overall well-being.

How to make chaga mushroom coffee

Making chaga mushroom coffee is incredibly simple, and there are two ways to do it. The first is to make your coffee as usual, add the recommended dose of chaga mushroom extract and mix. The second way is to add your chaga mushroom dosage to an empty mug before making the rest of your coffee. This usually helps the extract blend into your coffee more effectively.
