Rich, fudgy truffles with bright orange zest and a pinch of sea salt — simple but beautiful for gifting.
Makes: 14–16 truffles
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Chill Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 200g Medjool dates, pitted
- 60g ground almonds
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- Zest of 1 orange
- Juice 1/2 orange
- 1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- Pinch sea salt
To finish
- Extra cacao powder or crushed pistachios
- Sea salt flakes
Method:
- Blend dates, ground almonds, cacao, orange zest, orange juice, coconut oil and salt until smooth and sticky.
- Roll into small balls using damp hands.
- Roll in cacao powder or crushed pistachios.
- Sprinkle lightly with sea salt flakes.
- Chill for 30 minutes before serving. Store chilled.
