These biscuits are the perfect accompaniment for cheese at the end of a shared festive feast.

PREP: 10 minutes plus chilling

COOK: 15-20 minutes

MAKES: 15-18 biscuits

INGREDIENTS:

TO MAKE:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C, gas mark 4. Line 2 large baking trays with baking parchment.
  2. Place the flour, paprika, salt and butter in a food processor and blitz to resemble breadcrumbs. Add the cheese, apricots and walnuts and pulse to mix in evenly.
  3. Add the egg and mix until a rough dough is formed. Roll into a cylinder about 16cm in length, wrap in clingfilm and chill until firm.
  4. Cut the biscuit mix into 16-18 slices and place on the 2 trays. Roughly chop the remaining walnuts and sprinkle over the biscuits, lightly pressing into the dough. Bake for 15- 20 minutes until golden round the edges, allow to cool slightly before transferring to cooling rack.
  5. Great served with a cheese board.

GRAPE TREE TIP: Try using hot paprika for a little kick. Biscuits can be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
