This is the kind of breakfast that really looks after you. Creamy oats gently simmered with cinnamon and soft dates for natural sweetness, finished with a rich swirl of tahini that adds depth, nourishment and slow-release energy. Simple, soothing, and ideal for suhoor when you want to stay full and steady through the day.

Ingredients
- 100g porridge oats
- 500ml almond milk (or any plant milk)
- 6 Medjool dates, chopped
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1–2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- 2 tbsp tahini mixed with 4 tbsp water
Method
- Add the oats, almond milk, chopped dates, cinnamon and salt to a saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring regularly.
- Cook for 5–7 minutes, until thick and creamy and the dates have softened into the porridge.
- Stir in maple syrup if using.
- Spoon into bowls and swirl through the tahini just before serving.
