Method

  1. Add the oats, almond milk, chopped dates, cinnamon and salt to a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring regularly.
  3. Cook for 5–7 minutes, until thick and creamy and the dates have softened into the porridge.
  4. Stir in maple syrup if using.
  5. Spoon into bowls and swirl through the tahini just before serving.
