Chocolate pancakes… without the sugar crash. Naturally sweetened with dates, rich and fluffy - totally kid-approved.

Ingredients

  • 6 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 250ml plant milk
  • 150g plain flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

To serve

  • Greek-style yogurt
  • Cherry compote or jam

Method

  1. Blend the dates and plant milk until completely smooth.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder, cacao powder, vanilla and salt. Blend to a thick batter.
  3. Cook pancakes in a non-stick pan over medium heat for about 2 minutes per side.
  4. Stack and serve with yogurt and cherry compote or jam.
