What is vitamin D?
Unlike most vitamin and minerals which are obtained through the food we eat; vitamin D is naturally created when our skin is exposed to direct sunlight.

What are the common signs of vitamin D deficiency?
When vitamin D is low, it can affect the body in several ways. These can include;

- Low mood
- Poor immune system
Public Health England now recommends that everyone in the UK supplements at least 400IU (10mcg) daily of vitamin D through the winter months – October to March, with at risk groups advised to supplement all year round to maintain enough levels.
