Grape Tree colleagues and customers have raised more than £2,000 for leading cancer support charity Look Good Feel Better during 2021.

With vulnerable people still shielding throughout the year, Look Good Feel Better was able to offer virtual workshops to support those often hidden from view.

Look Good Feel Better volunteers help boost the emotional and physical wellbeing of cancer patients by offering online workshops covering skincare and make-up, grooming, hair loss and wig advice as well as nail care.

Grape Tree has supported Look Good Feel Better since 2015 and will continue this important partnership in 2022.

A spokesman for the charity said: “The funds raised by Grape Tree help to provide places at the charity’s online and face-to-face workshops for people across the country, who are not only living with cancer but also with the increasing isolation and fear which has been caused by Covid-19.”

With 1,000 people facing a new cancer diagnosis every day in the UK and with thousands receiving a late diagnosis and delayed treatment due to the effects of the pandemic, the charity has extended the help it offers.

Gentle exercise, body confidence as well as breathwork and meditation now forms part of the support available with more services launching in 2022.

Grape Tree founder Nick Shutts added: “Life has returned to normal for a lot of people but there are those who may still be shielding or face delayed diagnosis and treatment. It is a privilege to be able to continue to support Look Good Feel Better.”
